School Day

• Breakfast club opens at 8:00am. Children can arrive at breakfast club until 8:20am. Entry to breakfast club is free and breakfast items are available to buy from the school kitchen.
• Early Morning Reading Clubs (Years 1-6) operate in class from 8:30am.
• Children arriving for this time should line up in their year group for 8:30am. (Year 1 & 2 at classroom doors on the balcony, Year 3 at the end of the Early Years fence, Year 4 outside the main school doors, Year 5 at the Nursery fence and Year 6 on the other side of the fence from the bike shed.)
• Doors will remain open for children to enter the building until 8:50am.
• Other children arriving once the doors are closed will enter the building through the main school door only. There will be a duty member of staff on the front entrance to meet and greet and swipe children through.
• All children should be in school by 8:45am.
• Formal registration is completed at 8:50am.
• There will be no duty cover from 8:55am on the front door, children arriving after this time are late and will need to report to the front office to register with an explanation for why they are late and an appropriate late mark will be recorded.
• School finishes at 3:15pm. Children will be collected from the same place as their morning lining up location (with the exception of Year 5 who will be available for collection from the large number square at the far end of the building from the main entrance).
• After school Clubs run until 4:00pm or 4:15pm depending on the club.

• Morning – 8.30am – 11.30am
• Afternoon – 12.10pm – 3.10pm

Pupils at Byron Wood receive a broad, balanced, curriculum. Our days do vary and are not always the same!
